Slamford poetry open mic featuring Zulynette

Raise your voice at the SLAMFORD POETRY Open Mic! Come to the Mill River Park Carousel Pavilion (30 West Broad Street) on August 10th at 5pm to experience local spoken-word poetry at its finest.

Your poetry can be new or old, memorized or unmemorized, serious or funny, or anything in between. All voices, topics, styles, ages, and experience levels are welcome! Performers should arrive 10 minutes early to sign up and will perform in the order in which they sign up. We hope to get as many people on stage as time will allow!

The event will feature Zulynette, winner of the Hartford Iron Poets Competition, author of Building a Powerhouse, and passionate changemaker through art and education.

Parking is available at the Summer Street Parking Garage (behind Target) one block from the venue. We recommend bringing a picnic blanket or chairs.

SLAMFORD POETRY is supported by the City of Stamford Mayor’s Office, the Department of Economic Development, the Stamford Arts and Culture Commission, and the Mill River Park Collaborative.
